Yet another surprise! By me, Shorty
Well, will wonders never cease!Calvin joined us here at the Rainbow Bridge! It took him a little longer to find us. I've found that the young animals get shown around before they are directed to loved ones. My mom 'adopted' Calvin after seeing him in my Granny's yard hunting food. She fell in love at once. But then again, she always does. Man, was he ever skinny. He would sneak into the pet door and stay with me at night and eventually, he was a permanent fixture. Mattie did not know him. She had already come here. I was the only pet in Mom's house that liked him. He really was cool, for a cat ! So, now he's here and I'm gonna go see how he got here. Gosh, he's only two!

Happy Easter!

My mom says I would make a cute Easter Bunny. I don't know what a bunny is, but I am pretty cute. Especially when I hold my ears up. I can hear really good when they're up. Thanks to them I never missed a meal or a treat. But I did get to where I couldn't hear good. But that is a story for another day. Now, Shorty's ears are not the same as mine. His won't stand up but he can hear as well as me. He's such a little stinker. I can't wait to see him again. I think it'll be soon.
He was such a cute baby. He had a friend named Buttons. She was a cat. They used to run and play together. He got Parvo when he was a baby and I almost lost him. It did get my other baby. She looks like me. But Shorty was the stronger one and he made it.

This is him on Halloween. He was sooooo humiliated. But Mom gave him a cookie so that's why he has a happy look on his face. I guess I was lucky. About the worst thing she ever put on me was a hideous purple sweater. But it was pretty warm now that I think about it.

Bob and Jeb
This is Bob & Jeb, the monsters in the
Mangy cats!

Hog dog
This is my son, Shorty. They named him Shorty because he is. Ugly, huh? He looks like his dad, Casey. There were 4 babies but three didn't make it. He pretends to hate those mangy cats when I'm around, but I have seen him let them rub around on him when he thinks I'm not looking. He thinks he is ferocious but we all know better. He'll eat anything that does not eat him first, except banannas and pickles. They call him hog dog. My question is, what the heck is a hog? But he is not feeling good lately and I suspect he'll be here soon.I'll be posting some photos of the rest of the family as soon as I find some presentable pics of them mangy critters that call themselves felines.
Later on I'm gonna share a big secret with ya'll that will blow you away!

Didn't know a dog could type, now didya?

My name is Mattie I'm a Poodle - Terrier mix (or so my Mom says). I'm Apricot colored and my ears stand straight up when I'm excited.
My mom is an extraordinary person. I think she may be a little fluffy between the ears. She acts like we (me and my fellow pooches) are human. Ha! I am much smarter than that.
I live with her and David, my son, Shorty, 3 mangy cats and 2 Golden Retrievers. David has put his foot down and told Mom NOT to bring anymore critters home. But she will. She says there is no end to places in the heart. And I'm in one of them.
I'm gonna go for now. I'll be back soon. Gonna go take a nap. And NOT a cat nap, either. Man, I hate cats!
